Dr. Robert G. Gish is a renowned hepatologist with decades of experience in liver disease research, clinical care, and public health. He earned his MD from the University of Kansas Medical School and completed his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at UCLA, where he also conducted NIH-funded research. Dr. Gish previously served as Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at California Pacific Medical Center, helping to build one of the nation’s top transplant centers. He currently holds academic appointments at Loma Linda University, the University of Nevada, and UC San Diego. As founder of Robert G. Gish Consultants, he advises liver programs globally and provides patient care through clinics in California and Nevada. Dr. Gish has authored over 700 publications and is actively involved in advancing hepatitis screening, vaccination, and treatment worldwide. He also serves as Medical Director for the Hepatitis B Foundation and the American Pacific Health Foundation.
